AI Replace
AI Replace uses GPT-3.5 to generate custom mock data from a plain-text prompt. Type what you need and it fills every selected text layer with a unique value.
How it works
Write a concise prompt
Examples: "email", "Australian phone number", "startup product name", "vehicle license plates of the United States". Works best with single-word or short-phrase prompts.
Select text layers
Select the text layers you want to fill. Each layer receives a unique generated value.
Click Replace with AI
Mock Master sends the prompt to GPT-3.5 and updates each selected text layer with the generated content.

How image generation works
Select Figma frames
Click one or more frames on the canvas. The generated image will be placed as a fill inside each frame, sized to fit.
Enter a prompt or pick a category
Type a custom prompt (e.g. "a cat wearing sunglasses") or select an avatar style category from the tag list.
Generate or Randomize
Click Generate to use your prompt/category, or Randomize to pick a random style automatically.
Settings & API Key
Mock Master works out of the box with a built-in API key. For higher limits and full control, add your own OpenAI API key.
Bring Your Own Key
Go to the Settings tab and paste your OpenAI API key. The key is stored securely in Figma's client storage — it never leaves your device.
Free Tier
Without your own key, Mock Master uses a built-in API key with a 20-token limit per request. Enough for short mock data but not long paragraphs.

Tips & Tricks
Select multiple layers at once
Shift+Click to select several text layers. Mock Master fills each with unique data in one click.
Use specific AI prompts
"Australian phone number" works better than "phone number". The more specific, the more realistic.
Combine pre-filled and AI
Use pre-filled data for standard fields (name, email) and AI Replace for domain-specific content.
Generate avatars for user cards
Select the avatar frame, pick a style, generate. Then pre-fill the name and email. Full user card in seconds.
Undo is your friend
All operations support Figma's native undo (Cmd+Z). Experiment freely.
Add your API key for speed
The built-in key has a 20-token limit. Add your own in Settings for 1000 tokens and faster generation.
