Figma ships a lot of AI itself now. Rename layers is built in on paid plans and doesn't use AI credits. First Draft and the Figma agent generate editable designs from a prompt, and every seat gets monthly AI credits, including seats on the free plan. Check the native feature before installing a plugin for the same job. Plugins still make sense when you want a specific output, like editable motion from Magic Animator or code for one framework.
Most AI plugins process your selection on the vendor's servers, and several run their own accounts and credits. For our picks we skipped the prompt-to-UI generators, which change month to month, and chose tools whose output you can check against the original.
