On Mac, Figma also accepts plain + and − without ⌘. You can pick a zoom level from the Zoom/view options menu too, which lists preset levels alongside view toggles like the pixel grid and layout guides.
How to reset zoom to 100%
Figma's help center doesn't document a zoom-to-100% key. ⇧0 is the one designers commonly use; if it does nothing, pick the zoom level from the Zoom/view options menu. To get back to an overview instead, ⇧1 fits the whole page in view.
How to hide the side panels
⌘\ / Ctrl + \ hides the toolbar and both sidebars so the canvas fills the window. Press it again to bring them back. Minimize UI (⌘⇧\ / Ctrl + Shift + \) is a separate, lighter option. On Windows the hide shortcut is Ctrl + \; a Figma forum thread asking about it has over 37,000 views.
How to zoom the Figma UI (interface scale)
Canvas zoom and interface scale are different things. Interface scale makes the panels, menus and text of Figma itself bigger or smaller. In the desktop app, go to View → Interface Scale or use these keys:

In a browser, use the browser's own zoom from its View menu, and Actual size to reset it. If everything in Figma suddenly looks huge or tiny, check the browser zoom first.
When zoom shortcuts don't work
Figma's shortcuts assume a US QWERTY keyboard, and the +, − and = keys sit in different places on other layouts. Pick your real layout in the shortcuts panel (Ctrl + Shift + ?, then the Layout tab) or under Main menu → Preferences → Keyboard layout. Figma supports 15 layouts.
