For years this wasn't possible without a plugin, and the forum shows it. "Export to Slides and PPTX" has around 16k views, and older answers there still say PowerPoint export doesn't exist. Figma Slides now has it built in.
Quick steps
Get the slides into Figma Slides
In your Figma Design file, select the top-level slide frames and click Copy to Figma Slides in the Design tab of the right sidebar. A new deck opens in a new tab.
Open the export dialog
In the deck, click the Main menu and go to File > Export slides to.
Choose PPTX
Pick PPTX as the format, then choose whether to export all slides or only the selected ones.
Export and open in PowerPoint
Click Export. In the browser, the file goes to your browser's download folder. Open it in PowerPoint and check fonts and gradients first.
Why is Copy to Figma Slides missing?
The button only appears when the frames qualify. Check these three things:
- The frames are top-level. Frames nested inside another frame or section won't show the option.
- The aspect ratio is between 4:3 and 16:9. 1920 × 1080 and 1024 × 768 both work. A 1440 × 900 web frame also falls inside that range, but a tall mobile screen doesn't.
- You own the file. Only the file owner can copy frames to Figma Slides this way.
Prototype connections between frames don't carry over. Use slide transitions in Figma Slides instead.
What changes when Figma exports to PPTX?
Figma lists three limits for PowerPoint export. Check your deck for each before you send the file.
- Fonts. If PowerPoint doesn't have the font, the text switches to PowerPoint's default font. Install the font on the machine that opens the deck, or pick a font your audience has.
- Gradients. Gradient fills become solid colours. If a gradient matters, export that shape as a PNG and place the image on the slide instead.
- Interactive content. Live interactions and code blocks become static images.
How to export Figma Design frames to PowerPoint with a plugin
If you'd rather stay in Figma Design, or your frames don't meet the Figma Slides rules, a plugin can build the PPTX straight from frames. These are the main options:
- Pitchdeck Presentation Studio (about 485,000 users): presents frames as a deck and exports to PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote and PDF, with editable text.
- Deck (about 159,000 users): a free converter for text and basic shapes. Anything it can't convert goes in as an image, and it runs inside Figma without uploading your file.
- FPPT and Convert by FeatPaper: newer converters that aim for fully editable PPTX, with Google Slides and PDF output too.
No converter is perfect. Complex vectors, effects and masks tend to arrive as images. Build slides with plain text layers, simple shapes and auto layout if the deck needs to stay editable in PowerPoint.

There's no direct Google Slides export in Figma. Export a PPTX from Figma Slides or a plugin, then in Google Slides use File > Import slides and upload the file. The same font and gradient limits apply, and Google Slides may swap fonts it doesn't have.
When a PDF or images are the better choice
If nobody needs to edit the slides, skip PPTX. A PDF keeps fonts, gradients and vectors exactly as designed, and Figma Slides exports one from the same Export slides to dialog. See how to export a Figma PDF.
For a single slide dropped into someone else's deck, copy the frame as an image with Copy as PNG (⇧⌘C / Ctrl+Shift+C) and paste it into PowerPoint. For sharper images, export PNG at 2x from the Export section. The other formats are covered in how to export from Figma.
How to import PowerPoint into Figma
Going the other way is built in too. In the file browser, click Import, then Import from computer, and pick the .pptx. It opens as a Figma Slides deck. All text switches to Inter, and videos, tables, diagrams and animations don't come across. Other file conversions are in Figma to Photoshop and Figma to InDesign.
